The Gatineau Olympiques made a transaction with the Rimouski Oceanic in the last few minutes.

Gatineau trade to Rimouski 20-year-old forward Evan MacKinnon. Evan played a total of 28 games with the Olympiques. He scored 8 goals and added 16 assists for a total of 24 points.

In addition to Evan, the Olympiques sent 17-year-old goaltender Gabriel Boissonneault to Rimouski.

The organization wishes Evan and Gabriel best luck with their new team.

To close the deal, Louis Robitaille, GM of the Olympiques, gave up 1st round pick in 2021 and 2nd round in 2022 (GAT) and the 1st round selection 2022 (SHE), acquired during the transaction that sent Charles-Antoine Roy to Sherbrooke last winter, to Serge Beausoleil and the Océanic.

In return, the Rimouski Oceanic sent 20-year-old forward Andrew Coxhead, 19-year-old goaltender Matthew Dunsmoor and 18-year-old defenseman Isaac Belliveauto the Olympiques.
