Q&A – CORONASVIRUS (COVID-19)

The organization of the Gatineau Olympiques would like to answer your questions following the decision rendered by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on March 12.

Are the administrative office and souvenir shop open?

In order to ensure the health of employees and to follow the recommendations of Prime Minister Francois Legault, all employees work from home. For the moment the office and the shop remain closed and we will contact you as soon as the reopening.

Are activities outside the arena maintained?

As recommended by the QMJHL, training, practices and all gatherings are suspended. Players have returned to their homes.

Is the season cancelled?

The 2019-2020 season is currently on hold and any unplayed games will be rescheduled later.

Will the season resume like this?

Public health takes precedence over hockey, no return date is set yet. The suspension will be maintained based on government and QMJHL directives. The situation will be reassessed on a daily basis.

What happens to the series and can the format change?

The scenario is the same as for the regular season. The series are postponed, not cancelled. For the format, no directives have now been issued by the QMJHL.

Can I get a refund for my March tickets?

Fans are encouraged to keep their tickets. No games are cancelled at this time. We are talking about a suspension of the season, which means that the games will be postponed to a later date. The tickets will be honoured on the new date. Therefore, it is not possible at this time to obtain a refund. It is therefore not necessary to write in order to obtain a refund or to travel to the administrative office. We also invite you to refer to the notice written on the ticket. If the situation changes, we will communicate on the subject by explaining the procedure to be followed in due course. You will receive an email from Ovation about this.

What about my season pass?

We will postpone the VIP evening for season ticket subscribers 2020-2021. At the moment, there is no point in coming to make a reservation or a payment. We do not take any payment during the suspension. A later date will be set to allow our supporters to re-subscribe.
