Ottawa 67’s and Gatineau Olympiques Alumni set to battle it out at TD Place on December 8th

With the Ottawa 67’s and the Gatineau Olympiques setting the stage and going head to head against one another in the inaugural ‘’Battle of the Ottawa River’’ on Decemsber 7th and 8th, a little bit of history will be included in the festivities as alumni from both teams will face off at the Arena at TD Place just before the final game of the back to back opposing both junior clubs on December 8th.

With the face off for the junior game being set for 2 PM, the Alumni teams from Ottawa and Hull (the Olympiques name changed to Gatineau following amalgamation in 2003) will hit the ice at 12:00 PM. Doors will open for fans to come in at 11:30 AM and those attending will be able to access the Alumni game only with their regular game tickets. The Alumni teams will be playing two 25-minute periods before the young guns battle for the Alexandra Cup, which will be handed out after the game for the very first time in its history.

The 67’s Alumni will be coached by the legendary Brian Kilrea, while the Olympiques Alumni will have Marc Saumier calling the shots behind their bench.
