Olympiques sign defenseman Jacob Renaud-Viau

GATINEAU – The Gatineau Olympiques announced Tuesday that they have signed 17-year-old defenseman Jacob Renaud-Viau.

“We are very proud to add a player of Jacob’s caliber to our team. His skills speak for themselves and his work ethic is impeccable. He is a great signing for us.”, said head coach and general manager Louis Robitaille.

A native of Gatineau, Renaud-Viau is currently playing for the Cegep de l’Outaouais Griffons in the RSEQ Division 1 college league, where he has accumulated 16 points (5 goals, 11 assists) in 21 games.

The 6-foot right-handed defenseman also played 3 times for the Intrépide Midget AAA during the 2019-2020 season.
