Olympiques recall Justin Julien and Jacob Renaud-Viau

GATINEAU – The Gatineau Olympiques announced Wednesday that they have recalled forward Justin Julien and defenseman Jacob Renau-Viau.

Julien is currently playing with the Gatineau Intrépide in the Quebec U18 AAA Hockey League, where he has 9 points (5 goals, 4 assists) in 20 games. A 6th round pick in 2021, the young man from the Outaouais region has played 2 games this season with the Olympiques.

As for Renaud-Viau, the defenseman is currently playing with the Griffons of the Cégep de l’Outaouais. The Gatineau native has 9 points (2 goals, 7 assists) in 16 games this season. He also played two games this season with the Olympiques, collecting one goal.

These recalls come as Donovan Arsenault, Marcel Marcel, Olivier Boutin, Olivier Nadeau, Antonin Verreault, Manix Landry, Tye Austin, Isaac Belliveau, and Cole Cormier are not currently eligible to play. (Injuries, suspensions).
