Gatineau Olympiques fans’ travel made easier with free access to public transport!

Gatineau, September 7, 2022 – The Gatineau Olympiques and the Société de transport de l’Outaouais (STO) are proud to join forces so that hockey fans can take full advantage of public transport. Starting this Saturday, September 10, Gatineau Olympiques fans will be able to travel free of charge on the STO’s network with their game ticket for the next three seasons.

The Slush Puppie Centre is located in the heart of the Cité, near the Rapibus corridor, a major public transit route that offers high-frequency service, especially on route 400. As for the incentive parking lots located alongside the Rapibus, approximately 1,000 spaces are offered free of charge to public transit users. In order to plan their trips from home or from a Park & Ride lot, Olympiques game ticket holders are invited to use the Plani-Bus at

“We are pleased to officially welcome Olympiques fans to our network and to be able to facilitate their travel,” said Jocelyn Blondin, Chairman of the STO’s Board of Directors. “With the Cité’s growth over the past few years, it is essential that we collectively develop the public transit reflex. I would like to thank the Gatineau Olympiques, who, through this partnership, are allowing us to introduce a new customer segment and to promote the Rapibus.

“We are very proud to announce our partnership with the STO today. We sincerely believe that this service will make it easier for our fans to get to and from the Slush Puppie Centre on game nights. The quality of the customer experience has just improved once again, and we are even more environmentally conscious. Thank you to the STO for offering this opportunity to our customers,” said Mr. Norman MacMillan, spokesperson and president of the Gatineau Olympiques.
Please note that :

– This partnership allows Olympiques spectators to travel free of charge on the regular network and, for eligible customers, with the paratransit service;
– Paper or electronic Gatineau Olympiques tickets for home games at the Slush Puppie Centre will be accepted as valid transportation;
– This free access is valid on the day of the game, starting at 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, and all day on Saturdays and Sundays;
