Gatineau acquires Matthew Grouchy from the Remparts for Darien Kielb

The Olympiques have acquired forward Matthew Grouchy, a fourth-round pick in 2019 (#71), and an eight-round pick in 2021 from the Quebec Remparts in exchange for defenseman Darien Kielb and a sixth-round pick in 2021.

Grouchy completed his fourth season in the QMJHL in 2018-19, scoring 14 goals and adding 33 assists for a total of 47 points in 61 games. The left winger from Labrador City, NL, also tallied six points in seven playoffs games this spring.

Grouchy, who will turn 20 in November, also played for the Charlottetown Islanders in the League.

Kielb, who played his first season in the QMJHL in Quebec City, registered 32 points (8-24-32) in 68 games this past season. He only took part in two playoffs games for the Olympiques because of an injury.
