RECAP – November 26th

The Olympiques were aiming for a 4th victory in 5 games in the protected environment. Their opponents? The team that welcomed us to the Videotron Center, the Remparts de Québec.

The Remparts took control of the game right from the start of the first period and, after 2 minutes of play, a shot deviated several times before surprising goaltender Despatie. It was 1-0 for Québec.

The rest of the period was pretty much uneventful but it ended with the Olympiques on the power play. That power play would continue for 1:47 starting the next period.

Second period

The second period was very similar to the first.  There were several chances on either side however neither team took advantage. It ended with 15-6 shots in favor of the Remparts.

Third period

Louis Robitaille’s men came out energized in the 3rd period and had several excellent scoring chances. Kieran Craig opened the score for the Olympiques, assisted by Olivier Boutin and Métis Roelens.

With less than 10 minutes left in the 3rd period, the Olympiques get a two-man advantage power play. They had great chances to tie the game but were unable to make it happen.

The Olympiques were fired up at the end of the game but the Remparts resisted. The final mark was 2-1 for Québec.

The next game for the Olympiques, against the Victoriaville Tigres, will also be their last in the protected environment.  Join us, tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. !
