Assistant coaches Darren Rumble and Raphaël-Pier Richer’s contracts renewed

GATINEAU – Gatineau Olympiques general manager and head coach Louis Robitaille announced contract extensions for assistant coaches Darren Rumble and Raphaël-Pier Richer for the next two years.

RUMBLE will be in his third season with the team. With over 15 years of coaching experience, including 8 years in the QMJHL, the Olympiques will be able to count on a man with a wealth of knowledge.

“Darren knows the game and the QMJHL very well. His years as a professional player in the NHL and also as a coach in the QMJHL are invaluable assets for the organization and for the development of our players. We are very pleased to have him on board. – Louis Robitaille.

This will also be RICHER’s third season with the Olympiques and fifth as a coach in the QMJHL. The 28-year-old brings a modern vision and is very proactive in the development of players.

“Raphaël is a hard worker. He spends a lot of time studying the game, which makes him an essential assistant in the progression of our team. His selection with Hockey Canada will be beneficial to the Olympics as well.” – Louis Robitaille
