GATINEAU – The Gatineau Olympiques announced that goaltender Ève Gascon has been added to the group that will participate in the team’s training camp that begins today at the Slush Puppie Centre.
The goaltender who played for the Patriotes of the Cégep de Saint-Laurent last year has confirmed her presence at the Gatineau Olympiques training camp.
At 18 years old, Gascon became the first player in history to earn a regular position at the midget AAA level with the Collège Esther-Blondin Phénix.
In addition, the Terrebonne athlete was supposed to be at the U18 Women’s World Championship before it was cancelled due to the COVID-19.
For Olympiques head coach and general manager Louis Robitaille, this addition is great news for the organization.
It is an honour for us that Eve has agreed to participate in the camp. She has shown in the past that she can compete at any level. Her pedigree is amazing. She will have the chance to show all her talent during the camp. – Louis Robitaille
The Gatineau Olympiques training camp will begin on Monday with the traditional medical and physical tests at the Slush Puppie Center.
