Our scouting team
Eric Desaulniers - (Scout- Montreal region)
Eric joined the Olympiques in 2008. Eric lives in St-Jean sur Richelieu and he will be scouting the region of Quebec in the Midget AAA league and for the Midget Espoirs on top of attending different major tournament in the same region. Eric has been working in the hockey world for many years as coach in different levels. Before joining the Olympiques Eric was a scout for Junior AAA, position that he still holds with the Rousseau sport de Laval. This will allow him to follow that league for the Olympiques.
Pierre Boisvert (Scout outside the province of Quebec)
Pierre is native of Gatineau and has joined the Olympiques scouting team in 2010. He joins the team with a vast experience. He was scout from 1986-1989 for the Bisons of Granby and from 1992-2003 for the Tigres of Victoriaville where he won the President Cup in 2002. He then became General Manager for the Intrepide of Gatineau for two seasons before becoming scout once again but this time for the Voltigeurs of Drummondville in 2005-2006. Pierre is responsible for maintaining the information on players in the QMJHL on top of following the evolution of players that are free agents and are playing on other territories then the ones for the QMJHL.
Julien Turgeon (Scout Midget Espoirs)
Julien is native of Montreal and he’s joined the Olympiques in 2010. He’s in charge of following the Midget Espoirs category where we find 20 teams in Quebec. For the last few years Julien has been an assistant coach at different levels such as Junior AA. He’s at his first experience as a scout but his concern for the details, his good sense of observation and his discretion makes him a great acquisition for the Olympiques.
