Following Thursday’s QMJHL Draft lottery, the Olympiques have learned that they will pick fourth overall in June.
The Olympiques had a 10% chance of winning the lottery following their 15th place in League standings this past season. The Saint John Sea Dogs will have the opportunity to pick first overall despite the fact they only had a 5% of winning it, the lowest percentage amongst the five eligible teams.
The last time that the Olympiques owned the fourth overall pick was in 2012, when they drafted Alexandre Carrier.
The QMJHL Draft will take place on Saturday, June 8, at the Videotron Centre, in Quebec City.
Order of selection of the first five picks:
1. Saint John Sea Dogs
2. Val-d’Or Foreurs
3. Moncton Wildcats
4. Gatineau Olympiques
5. Shawinigan Cataractes
