The Olympiques will open their season in front of their fans on September 27-28

Olympiques fans, it’s time to mark your calendars because the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League unveiled Tuesday its 2019-20 schedule!

Like it was the case the previous years, the Olympiques will start their season on the road with back-to-back games against the Drummondville Voltigeurs and the Sherbrooke Phoenix, on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21.

Fans in Gatineau will have their first look at the latest edition of the Olympiques the following week, when the locals will host the Baie-Comeau Drakkar on Friday, September 27, before hosting the Chicoutimi Sagueneens on September 28.

Amongst the notable games in 2019-20:

– The Olympiques and the Ottawa 67’s will renew the “Battle of the Ottawa River” on December 6 and December 8. The second game will be played at TD Place;
– The Olympiques will close 2019 on home ice on December 31, when they’ll host the Val-D’Or Foreurs;
– The Rimouski Oceanic and the QMJHL’s Most Valuable Player, Alexis Lafreniere, will play a doubleheader in Gatineau on February 8 and 9, 2020;
– The Olympiques will finish their regular season schedule on Saturday, March 21, against the defending President Cup and Memorial Cup champions, the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies.

Once again this year, the Olympiques will play their home preseason games at the Branchaud-Briere Complex. They’ll play their four games there starting on Sunday, August 18.
