The Olympiques will honor Jean Laframboise before the game on February 28

GATINEAU (February 27, 2018) – The Gatineau Olympiques will honor one of their longtime employees, Mr. Jean Laframboise, ahead of their game on Wednesday, February 28, at the Robert-Guertin Centre against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.

A pregame ceremony will take place to thank the one better known as “Mr. Laf”. His association with the Olympiques started back in 1994 when he was hired as a goal judge and penalty box official. Shortly thereafter, he was asked if he could billet a player during training camp, which paved the way to his nomination as the team’s Billet Coordinator, position he still holds today.

Through the years, Mr. Laframboise multiplied administrative tasks with the Olympiques, which included notably being in charge of the team’s kiosk at the annual QMJHL Draft; in addition of being a key member in the organization process of the Memorial Cup Tournament in Hull in 1997, as well as heading the committee in charge of the team’s retired numbers.

Fans can purchase tickets for the game online at or at the Robert-Guertin box office from Tuesday to Friday between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
