The Olympiques support the fight against breast cancer

Oct 29, 2012 - 16:34 GMT

Gatineau, October 28th, 2012 – The Gatineau Olympiques organization supports once again the cause for breast cancer by setting up a special evening in order to collect some funds to overcome this terrible disease.

It will be this Friday November 2nd, 2012 at 7:30 PM that the Gatineau Olympiques will proudly wear their pink jerseys to support this cause. For the occasion, they will receive the visit of the Sherbrooke Phoenix.

To raise more funds, the Olympiques are putting on sell through a silent auction the 23 pink jerseys worn by the players during their breast cancer game.  The opening bid for each of the jerseys will be set at $100.  Fans that wish to obtain a jersey can place their bid at the Olympiques office at the Robert-Guertin Centre. They can also contact Geneviève Têtu by phone at 819 777-0661 (230) or by email at gtetu@olympiquesdegatineau.ca for more information or to place their bid.  The silent auction will be open until the end of the first intermission on November 2nd.

Pink scarves will also be available for the fans during the game on Friday. In exchange for a scarf the Olympiques are asking for a minimum of $2 of donation.

Therefore we invite you to join us for this special event.  All the revenues will be given to the Foundation of the CSSS of Gatineau.
