Gatineau, December 22, 2012 – The Gatineau Olympiques made two transactions at the opening of the trade period this morning. They first traded their defenseman Anthony Cortese to the PEI Rockets in exchange for the left winger of 17 years old, Kelly Bent. He’s played 18 games last season with the Rocket and two this year. He has 1 point. He’s 5’11 and 185 lbs.

The Olympiques also obtained the defenseman of 17 years old, Jean-Simon Deslauriers from the Cape-Breton Screaming Eagles. In return, the Olympiques gave away their 2nd round pick in 2014. In 54 games with the Sidney team, he scored one goal and 7 assists for a total of 8 points. Choice of first round in 2011, Deslauriers had left the Sreaming Eagles on his own will at the beginning of the season. He measures 5 ' 11 and weighs 165 lbs.
