Gabriel Bilodeau named Olympiques’ captain

The Olympiques have announced on Wednesday night that defenseman Gabriel Bilodeau has been named the 50th captain in team history.

Bilodeau is currently in his fifth season with the Olympiques. The 20-year-old defenseman has scored eight goals and registered 27 points in 37 games so far in 2018-19. He succeeds to Jeffrey Durocher as team captain, who was traded to the Rimouski Oceanic on December 17.

Giordano Finoro and Darien Kielb will remain assistant captains. William Basque will now have an “A” in his jersey on the road, while Charles-Antoine Roy will have one for home games.
